On HPE ProLiant Compute DL380a Gen12 servers configured with 6th Generation Intel Xeon Gold Scalable Processors and with 2 or 4 DIMMs in the memory population, the following DIMM logs will be seen in the Integrated Management Log (IML) when the System ROM version is earlier than 1.20:Unsupported DIMM Configuration Detected - Processor 2 DIMM 7 violates DIMM population rules. (Major Code:00000017, Minor Code:00000016).Unsupported DIMM Configuration Detected - Processor 2 DIMM 10 violates DIMM population rules. (Major Code:00000017, Minor Code:00000016).Unsupported DIMM Configuration Detected - Processor 1 DIMM 7 violates DIMM population rules. (Major Code:00000017, Minor Code:00000016).Unsupported DIMM Configuration Detected - Processor 1 DIMM 10 violates DIMM population rules. (Major Code:00000017, Minor Code:00000016).The DIMM population on one or more processors results in a memory configuration that is not validated. This may result in non-optimal memory performance or other unexpected behavior.
Any HPE ProLiant Compute DL380a Gen12 server running a System ROM version earlier than 1.20.
