On a number of HPE ProLiant or Synergy Gen11 servers, when the system is configured with 5th Generation Intel Xeon Gold Scalable Processors and configured with 16 DIMMs per CPU with 1-rank and 2-rank mixed memory population, the following DIMM logs will be seen in the IML after updating to System ROM version 2.30:Unsupported DIMM Configuration Detected - Processor # DIMM 2 violates DIMM population rules. (Major Code:00000017, Minor Code:00000013).Unsupported DIMM Configuration Detected - Processor # DIMM 6 violates DIMM population rules. (Major Code:00000017, Minor Code:00000013).Unsupported DIMM Configuration Detected - Processor # DIMM 11 violates DIMM population rules. (Major Code:00000017, Minor Code:00000013).Unsupported DIMM Configuration Detected - Processor # DIMM 15 violates DIMM population rules. (Major Code:00000017, Minor Code:00000013).The DIMM population on one or more processors results in a memory configuration that is not validated. This may result in non-optimal memory performance or other unexpected behavior.

This issue has been addressed with System ROM 2.44 (or later).To download the latest System ROM, perform the following steps:1.Click the following link:Hewlett Packard Enterprise Support Center.2.Enter a product name (e.g., " DL380 Gen11") in the text search field and wait for a list of Suggested Products to display. From the Suggested Products list displayed, identify the desired product and select it.3.The page should refresh to display the "DRIVERS AND SOFTWARE" tab and the components that support the selected product. From the "DRIVERS AND SOFTWARE" expandable filter menus on the left side of the page:-Select the Software Type "BIOS"-Select the Subtype "System ROM"-For further filtering if needed select the specific Operating System from the Operating Environment Type.4.Locate and select the System ROM 2.44 (or later).Note: To ensure that you have selected the latest version of the firmware/driver, click the Revision History tab to check if a new version of the firmware/driver is available. For more important information, review the Release Notes tab.5.Click Download.
