On rare occasions, a pair of false messages for NVMe SSDs may appear in the HPE Integrated Management Log (IML). These messages will only be seen in IML, first aDegradedmessage, followed by a repaired orOkmessage, for example:"Caution,593,52096,0x0033,NVMe,0x0002,Hardware,08/19/2024 09:26:31,209: NVMe Storage - Drive at NVMe Drive Port 5A Box 2 Bay 4 status changed to Degraded ACTION: 1. Verify cables are good and fully seated. 2. Ensure all drives are fully seated. 3. Verify backplane, controller, and drive compatibility. 4. Replace the defective drive.Repaired,593,52362,0x0033,NVMe,0x0002,Hardware,08/19/2024 09:28:59,210: NVMe Storage - Drive at NVMe Drive Port 5A Box 2 Bay 4 status changed to Ok ACTION: 1. Verify cables are good and fully seated. 2. Ensure all drives are fully seated. 3. Verify backplane, controller, and drive compatibility. 4. Replace the defective drive."When the messages occur in the IML, and there is no functional impact to the server or applications.Note: Replacing the SSDs will not resolve the issue. The cause of this issue is being investigated.

If the footprint matches with the two IML log entries shown in the Description above, ignore the reported IML messages.The message occurrences are very rare. In addition, the degraded message is followed by the repaired/Ok message with no functional impact to the server or applications.This issue will be corrected in a future firmware release for HPE NVMe SSDs. This advisory will be updated when more information is available.
