On any HPE Integrated Lights-Out 5 (iLO 5) or HPE Integrated Lights-Out 6 (iLO 6) version, attempting to issue iLOrest commands may return driver error 32 and iLOrest return code 71. This may occur due to a timing related exchange between the iLOrest CHIF driver and the iLO CHIF service. When the Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP) or a partner vendor such as Nutanix LCM attempt a firmware upgrade and the iLOrest version is one affected by this issue, the update will fail with an error similar to the following:Failed to get the SPP version err:ERROR: Error 32 occurred while exchange chif packet.
Any iLOrest version earlier than 5.1.0.0.
The issue is corrected withiLOrestversion 5.1.0.0 (or later). For any scripts that use iLOrest, verify with the script vendor or owner that the script uses version 5.1.0.0 (or later) when performing iLOrest commands.Note that each iLO version lists the iLOrest version dependencies under Installation Instructions.
