When using the Storage Management Utility (SMU) to initially configure or reconfigure email parameters, HPE MSA 1060/2060/2062 Storage running firmware version IN210P002 may return the following error:The command is missing at least one parameter.The SMU is not correctly sending the required parameters when configuring or reconfiguring email notification parameters. This can result in being unable to change or add email parameters via the SMU.Required parameters include:SMTP ServerSender EmailProtocolSender password if protocol is TLS or SSLAn address in at least one of the Email Address fields
This issue occurs on the following HPE MSA Storage systems using firmware version IN210P002:HPE MSA 1060 StorageHPE MSA 2060 StorageHPE MSA 2062 Storage
Using the CLI interface, enter all the below parameters:serverdomainemail-listnotification-levelsendersecurity-protocolsender-password (if security-protocol is tls or ssl)portpersistent-alertsinclude-logsalert-notification-levelFor example:set email-parameters server smtp.mycompany.com domain mycompany.com email-list recipient1@mycompany.com,recipient2@mycompany.com,recipient3@mycompany.com,logsrecipient@mycompany.com notification-level none sender MSA-Storage security-protocol none port 25 persistent-alerts enabled include-logs enabled alert-notification-level allThis issue will be fixed in a future firmware release. This document will be updated when more information becomes available.
