The drive count displayed in the HPE Integrated Lights-Out (iLO 5) and iLO 6 GUI is inaccurate. The Storage Tab summary page shows storage details under the Storage section. This includes an individual count of storage controllers, enclosures, volumes, and drives. Instead of showing only the connected physical drives, the drive count also includes a collection of empty bays and connected drives.Starting with iLO 5 firmware version 3.05 and iLO 6 firmware version 1.60, the total drive count displayed on the Storage Summary Page in the iLO GUI now includes only physically connected drives. Any empty drive bays are excluded from this count to offer a more accurate view of connected storage. The total drive count displayed on the Storage Summary page in the iLO GUI for versions earlier than iLO 5 firmware version 3.05 and iLO 6 firmware version 1.60, includes both the count of physically connected drives and empty drives on the server.Refer to the following iLO User Guides for further details:HPE iLO 5 User GuideHPE iLO 6 User Guide
