For any HPE Synergy compute modules running VMware ESXi 7.0/8.0 along with VMware vSAN, and configured with the network adapters listed in the Scope section below, a PSOD similar to the following may occur:"qedentv: Panic [Error:2]Module(s) involved in panic: [qedentv 3.71.xx.x-xOEM.xxx.x.x.xxxxxxxx (External)]OSAL_HW_ERROR_OCCURRED@(qedentv)"
In the scenario described above, any HPE Synergy compute modules configured with any of the following network adapters running firmware combo image version 8.65.14 (or earlier):HPE Synergy 4820C 10/20/25Gb Converged Network AdapterHPE Synergy 6810C 25/50Gb Ethernet AdapterHPE Synergy 6820C 25/50Gb Converged Network Adapter
To avoid this issue, update the network adapter firmware combo image to version8.65.22(or later).In addition to the above firmware, HPE recommends HPE Synergy QLogic FastLinQ 10/25/50GbE Multifunction Driver for VMware version 2024.09.00:HPE Synergy QLogic FastLinQ 10/25/50 GbE Multifunction Driver for VMware ESXi 8.0 version 2024.09.00ORHPE Synergy QLogic FastLinQ 10/25/50 GbE Multifunction Driver for VMware ESXi 7.0 version 2024.09.00
