Summary

An alert message may appear in HPE OneView under the following conditions:An HPE Synergy compute module is inserted into the HPE Synergy enclosure bayANDThe attached server profile (i.e., server bay affinity) includes local storage configurationAs a result, the server profile may occasionally fail to apply to the server and the message "Unable to communicate with Storage controller" will appear:

Scope

HPE OneView 9.00 or earlier and HPE Synergy Composer.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, re-apply the failed server profile in HPE OneView.
