On an HPE Integrity server running HP-UX SRP A.03.01.X on a Secure Resource Partitions (SRP) system, there will be no network after a reboot with failing S330sec_init due to a corrupted /etc/cmpt-rules.bin.When this occurs, /etc/rc.log contains the following:Start containment subsystem configurationOutput from "/sbin/rc1.d/S330sec_init start":----------------------------setrules: Memory allocation failure: Not enough space <===ERROR CODE 1"/sbin/rc1.d/S330sec_init start" FAILEDOther setrules errors are also possibleChecking the cause with:# srp_sys -l coreset -vChecking SRP core subsystems ... [ Invalid Config]SRP Default Service list: cmpt,admin,init,login,prm,network,provisionSecurity Containment Compartment: Invalid Config
Any HPE Integrity server running HP-UX SRP A.03.01.X.
When this occurs, attempt to rebuild the compartment database /etc/cmpt-rules.bin by performing the following:Make sure containers are not running:# srp -stop -bBackup the compartment db files# mkdir /etc/cmpt-old# mv /etc/cmpt-rules.bin /etc/cmpt-old# mv /etc/cmpt-db /etc/cmpt-oldRecreate the compartment db files# setrulesReboot and continue with recoveryVerify that containers started and view the rc.log for errors
