This issue is resolved inWindows 2025 Server OS Build 26100.4652(or later). Two workarounds are identified below:Workaround 1Map the volume to only one of the HPE SR Gen10 Controller initiator ports, from the MSA management interface.Complete the OS installation.Install the Microsoft MPIO feature. Either through the Server Manager or Powershell > Install-WindowsFeature -name Multipath-io > mpclaim -n -I -d “HPE MSA 2060 SAS” Note: there are 5 spaces between “HPE” and “MSA” in the above command.Reboot the system to enable the Microsoft MPIO feature.Map the MSA volume to both initiator ports of the HPE SR Gen10 controller.Workaround 2Connect one port of the HPE SR Gen10 controller from the HPE MSA SAS Storage system.Map the volume to the HPE SR Gen10 Controller initiator ports, skip if already mapped.Complete the OS installation.Install the Microsoft MPIO feature--either through the Server Manager orPowershell>Install-WindowsFeature-name Multipath-io>mpclaim -n -I -d “HPE MSA 2060 SAS”NOTE: There are 5 spaces between “HPE” and “MSA” in the above command.Reboot the system to enable the Microsoft MPIO feature.Connect the second port of the HPE SR Gen10 controller to the HPE MSA SAS Storage system and update the mapping from the HPE MSA SAS Storage system user interfaces if needed.NOTE: The examples provided above are sourced fromHPE MSA 2060 Storage.Disclaimer: One or more of the links above will take you outside the HPE website.
