After upgrading to HPE OneView 8.50 (or later), a server profile apply may fail with the following alert message:"Unable to find a hard drive boot source for server: XXXXX Bay YResolution Ensure there is at least one bootable hard drive available on the server. Apply the server profile again."If an existing profile is used, it may have been applied before upgrading to OneView 8.50. If the Local Storage section of the profile manages at least one bootable hard drive, then a locked alert will result from the applied profile. This occurs because of a change in how OneView version 8.50 matches the bootable hard drives in the server boot order. This change in OneView may cause the issue if the server configures the Software RAID option. The Software Raid option is disabled by default, and it is an unsupported configuration to have the boot volume managed on the physical hardware controller while software RAID is enabled. When the Software RAID is enabled, a second controller is created. The existence of this second controller is the root cause for the alert seen in OneView 8.50 or later versions.Since a bootable volume exists with the Software RAID option enabled, this is an unsupported configuration for OneView. Review the Local Storage section of the profile to confirm whether the Software RAID is enabled or not.
