Due to a change in the Activation key format, attempting to activate an iLO for Compute Ops Management with iLO 6 versions 1.59 through 1.63, will fail when using the Key Type of Activation key. This new format is incompatible with iLO versions earlier than 1.64.Attempting to use the new Activation key type with iLO versions prior to iLO 6 version 1.64 will results in a text message of "must contain only alphanumeric characters with 2 dots:"
Any HPE system with iLO 6 versions earlier than version 1.64.
This advisory will be updated if additional solutions become available.Perform one of the workarounds below:To use the Key Type of Activation key, update iLO 6 to version 1.64 or later.With iLO 6 versions 1.59 through 1.63, when selecting a Key type, select HPE GreenLake Workspace ID.
