For any HPE Virtual Connect SE 100Gb F32 modules for Synergy, in rare instances, when repeatedly un-assigning and re-assigning Server Profiles that contain connections mapped to Large Network Set(s) and connections mapped to Regular Network Set(s), the communication on some VLANs used by the Logical Interconnect may unexpectedly stop working. If one of the affected VLANs is a Fibre Channel network, this may also affect SAN connectivity for compute modules using an FC connection from a CNA.Note:Moving several compute modules from one device bay to another device bay, is one activity that may cause repeated un-assigning and re-assigning of Server Profiles.
In the scenario described above, any HPE Virtual Connect SE 100Gb F32 modules for Synergy running firmware versions prior to 2.7.0.
To avoid this issue, update the Virtual Connect module firmware to version 2.7.0 (or later). This version has been included in HPE Synergy Service Pack (SSP) 2024.07.xx. These versions can be found at theHPE Synergy Software Releasespage. As a workaround, reboot the affected Virtual Connect module. This step will restore communication on all configured VLANs.
