The Remote syslog configuration will become disabled (cleared) by the HPE OneView appliance when the server is added or is refreshed within OneView. Refer to the examples below:Figure 1: Remote Syslog enabledFigure 2: Remote Syslog are disabled after a server refresh in OneViewWith HPE Gen10 servers, the HPE Integrated Lights-Out 5 (iLO 5) configuration is not affected. This is ONLY an issue with Gen11 servers and Integrated Lights-Out 6 (iLO 6).
HPE ProLiant Gen11 servers with HPE Integrated Lights-Out 6 (iLO 6) managed by HPE OneView 8.9 or earlier.
This issue is resolved by updating toHPE OneView 9.0or later.This issue can also be addressed by using the workaround. Enter a REST call to create a remote-syslog configuration. The Remote Syslog call and other information is documented in theHPE OneView REST API Reference 6200.
