When configuring System Firmware baseline on a new Server Profile or Server Profile Template, theCreate, EditandCopyforms may become unresponsive:In addition, if an existing Server Profile or Server Profile Template has a System Firmware baseline already configured, this issue may occur on subsequentEditorCopyof the Server Profile or Server Profile Template and Create server profile from Server Profile Template.After this issue is observed, all settings available in Server Profiles and Server Profile Templates are impacted.
HPE Superdome Flex servers, HPE Superdome Flex 280 servers or HPE Compute Scale-Up Server 3200 servers managed by HPE OneView 9.00.
This issue is fixed by upgrading toHPE OneView 9.10.01or later.As a workaround, perform one of the following actions:In order to configure and update System Firmware baseline for the servers listed in the Scope, use the Update firmware action on the Rack Manager page of OneView to configure or update the System Firmware baseline for HPE Superdome Flex or HPE Compute Scale-Up server 3200 servers.Then use the Server Profiles and Server Profile Templates to configure all other applicable settings that do not involve the System Firmware baseline. The newly created Server Profiles can then be applied to the server hardware after removing the older Server Profiles.OROnce this issue is observed when managing System Firmware baselines through Server Profiles and Server Profile Templates, it is recommended to create separate Server Profile Templates, without configuring the System Firmware baselines.Then use these templates to create new Server Profiles to configure the applicable settings for settings other than System Firmware baseline.Finally, newly created Server Profiles can be applied to the server hardware after removing the older Server Profiles.Document VersionRelease DateDetails2May 14, 2025Updated the Resolution with the permanent fix, OneView 9.10.011July 12, 2024Original Document Release.
