When the Network Time Protocol (NTP) server is properly configured in HPE M-series switches running ONYX-3.10.4006 or 3.10.4100 firmware versions, the switch time is synchronized to the NTP server time and shows the clock display of the actual switch time. However, the CLI and WebUI displays an incorrect NTP service status (see below) and appears as if the NTP is not synchronized and not working.NOTE: This issue does not occur with ONYX versions earlier than 3.10.4006.In the WebUI, the NTP tab shows alert messages ofNTP host is configured but not runningandClock is unsynchronized:The CLIshow ntpcommand showsClock is unsynchronizedandNo NTP associations present, even though the NTP Server IP address was configured:The CLIshow ntpand the WebUI Date and Time display are synchronized to the NTP server, and the switch logging time stamps are accurate.The correctshow ntpdisplay is below:The correct WebUI NTP screen is below:

The NTP synchronization switch time is correct. When NTP is correctly configured, checkshow clockin the CLI to validate that the time is correct.You can run a test to check the synchronization:Manually set the timeincorrectlywith NTP synchronized disabled.Enable NTP and observe the NTP synchronized time.This NTP status display issue with ONYX3.10.4006 and 3.10.4100 is resolved in ONYX-3.10.4200 and later versions.
