On any HPE platform running Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.4 EUS (Extended Update Support) Errata kernel version 4.18.0-305.30.1 (or later) and configured with any of the HPE network adapter listed in the Scope section below; the kernel will load inbox drivers instead of HPE provided out-of box drivers. The out-of box drivers fail to load due to an incompatibility with new versions of symbols "flow_block_cb_setup_simple" and "flow_indr_block_cb_alloc". This issue occurs due to a Kernel Application Binary Interface (kABI) breakage (a symbols change in the errata update) starting with kernel version 4.18.0-305.30.1. This change makes the weak-updates to be unable to create the symbolic links properly due to incompatibility of the symbols that were changed; therefore, the drivers are unable to load on the errata kernel 4.18.0-305.30.1 and later versions.
