Document Version Release Date Details 2 April 18, 2022 HPE Ethernet 1Gb 4-port BASE-T BCM5719 Adapter (647594-B21) has been removed because it is not affected by this issue. A note has been added to the Description section. 1 March 14, 2022 Original Document Release. On HPE ProLiant servers configured with either of the HPE network adapters with firmware combo image v20.19.31 (or earlier) listed in the Scope section below; an incorrect link up reporting of unused ports of the network adapters may be experienced and logged in the Integrated Management Log (IML) when iLO is configured to use the Shared Network Port. This incorrect reporting of link up is the result of a race condition that is occurring with the management protocols requesting port status to the shared network port. The resulting condition incorrectly reports a link up status on an unused port. This also leads to a critical condition being reported in the Integrated Management Log (IML) as the port status is correctly reported as unlinked on the next polling cycle. In the example below, the server was configured with a network cable inserted into Port 1 of the HPE Ethernet 1Gb 4-port 331i Adapter while ports 2,3 and 4 had no cable connection, are in an expected link down state, and the iLO is configured to use the Shared Network Port: IML entries taken from the iLO Note: The HPE iLO shared network port configuration is limited to LOM or FlexLOM only; for more information, refer to the " iLO network port configuration options " section of the following document: HPE Integrated Lights-Out (iLO 5) for Gen10 Servers - Configuring iLO Network Settings
