When running host applications from HPE ProLiant Gen12 HPE Service pack for ProLiant (SPP) version 2025.03.00.00 (or later) with HPE Integrated Lights-Out 7 (iLO 7) v1.13.01 (or earlier), application accounts cannot be used by host applications to communicate to iLO 7.Note: Host applications can continue to communicate with iLO 7 using iLO 7 user account credentials.The following error is displayed when running iLORest login command:(Error occurred while performing login using app account.Check if application account exists using 'appaccount details' command.Otherwise, try with --no_app_account option.)The following error is displayed when SUM performs local node inventory:The below versions of host applications are impacted with iLO 7 v1.13.01 (or earlier):Smart Update Manager (SUM) v12.0.0Integrated Smart Update Tools (iSUT) v6.0.0Agentless Management Service (AMS)v4.10.0 for Windowsv4.0.0 for Linuxv2025.03.01 (802.12.1.0) for VMWare ESXiiLORest v6.0
Any HPE iLO 7 based ProLiant or Synergy Gen12 servers using host applications for example HPE OneView, Smart Update Manager, iLORest, Integrated Smart Update Tools, or Agentless Management Service for firmware upgrades.
Download the latest iSUT, AMS and iLORest offline bundles (recommended) or use the iSUT and AMS version included in the May or July 2025 SPPs by registering those SPPs to the OV4VC Plug-in in vCenter. Latest offline bundles are available here:iSUT,iLORest,AMS.After downloading, upload the offline bundles to vLCM via Lifecyle Manager->Actions->Import Updates menu.Update the vLCM Cluster Image to remove the Firmware and Drivers AddOn (SPP), and add the newer iLORest, iSUT and AMS for Gen12 as additional Components (shown below).Validate and save the new Cluster Image.Perform Remediate All.
