The following message may be displayed in the Integrated Management Log (IML) with HPE Integrated Lights-Out 5 (iLO 5) firmware v2.36 (or earlier):Informational,1207,3882,0x0013,Drive Array,0x0017,Hardware,12/04/202013:22:52,134: Slot 0 Smart Array - Cache Status: Temporary Disabled (ErrorCode: 6) ACTION:Do one or more of the following: 1. Allow 2 hours tocomplete charge 2. Install energy pack 3. Verify energy pack cable andcontroller backup power cable are well seated 4. Match energy pack tonumber of loads 5. Update firmware 6. Replace energy pack
Any HPE system with iLO 5 firmware v2.36 (or earlier).
When the Error Code: 6 is displayed, perform the following:Check to see that the cache status in HPE Smart Storage Administrator (HPSSA) is enabled.Ensure that the battery is fully charged using HPSSA to verify the status.If both of the above are working as expected, this message can safely be ignored.This message will not display in iLO 5 firmware v2.40 (or later).To download the iLO 5 firmware v2.40 (or later), perform the following steps:Click the following link:Hewlett Packard Enterprise Support CenterThe page should refresh to display the "DRIVERS AND SOFTWARE" tab and the components that support the iLO 5.
