After restoring an HPE Edgeline Chassis Manager (ECM) configuration file, the ECM will reboot to make settings take effect. In some instances, the network settings will not fully reset and access to the ECM will be lost. This occurs because while the configuration is being loaded, the ECM attempts to reset before the network configuration is complete, which stops the reset from completing, and leaves the ECM in a state without networking.
Any HPE Edgeline EL8000 Converged Edge System in the scenario described above.
After five minutes, reload the ECM UI in the web browser. If the connection is not restored, power-cycle the ECM by removing and reconnecting power to the chassis(this will remove power from the server blades in the chassis.)ORRemove and re-insert the ECM module located in the bottom right corner of the chassis. This advisory will be updated if additional solutions become available.RECEIVE PROACTIVE UPDATES: Receive support alerts (such as Customer Advisories), as well as updates on drivers, software, firmware, and customer replaceable components, proactively in your e-mail through HPE Subscriber's Choice.
