An affected Alienware may not detect the SSD and not boot. When this happens, the "HTTP(s) Boot" screen is seen. If F2 is pressed to enter the BIOS menu, checking Storage results in finding no SSD connected. Affected Platforms: Alienware 16 Aurora AC16250 Alienware 16X Aurora AC16251
A BIOS issue causes this behavior.
Workaround Press and hold the power button to shut down, then press the power button to turn the computer on again. Long-term resolution Updating to BIOS version 1.6.3 or later on an Alienware 16 Aurora AC16250 resolves the issue. Updating to BIOS version 1.7.0 or later on an Alienware 16X Aurora AC16251 resolves the issue.
