The error occurs when the login-max-active option on the Data Domain system is set too low, preventing PowerProtect Data Manager from establishing a valid session and retrieving the required authentication token. To verify the current setting, run: # adminaccess option show login-max-active
To address the issue: Log in to the Data Domain system using CLI. Increase the maximum number of active login sessions by running: # adminaccess option set login-max-active 100 Retry the discovery operation from the PowerProtect Data Manager user interface. This change sets the login-max-active value to its default, allowing PowerProtect Data Manager to successfully authenticate and complete the discovery process.
