Upgrading to 19.13 (or later) from a pre-19.13 fails on a Windows NetWorker server. NetWorker 19.13+ requires Java Development Kit (JDK) 17. The NetWorker server is using Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 1.8, which was used by NetWorker 19.12 and prior. NetWorker Runtime Environment (NRE) 8.0.x or an Oracle Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 1.8.x build is installed on the host instead of JDK 17. NOTE: Ensure that Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 - 2022 Redistributable is also installed. Install NetWorker Runtime Environment (NRE) 17.0.1 (or later) or Oracle licensed JDK 17. NRE is available through: https://www.dell.com/support/product-details/product/networker/drivers (you must sign in with your Dell support account) NetWorker Runtime Environment (NRE): Introduction and Installation NOTE: The NRE upgrade to 17.0.x may prompt for a mandatory Windows reboot. After upgrading to JDK 17 or NRE 17.0.x, attempt the NetWorker 19.13.x upgrade again.
