Product affected are as follows: - S52xx-ON Normal Airflow P/N 2RPHX - S52xx-ON Reverse Airflow P/N R17R1 Description & Issue: Dell EMC S52xx-ON redundant PSU, once powered off, will enter a “PSU fault” state when attempting to power back on.A Dell EMC S52xx-ON device, with both PSUs in operation, upon lost of input to one of the PSU will enter a “PSU fault” state when input is recovered. The Dell EMC S52xx-on device will only be operating on one PSU with no redundant PSU available.
Root Cause:Hardware team discovered an issue with the PSU. Fan back pressure on the PSU prior to being powered-on results in reverse fan rotation. When power is restored to the PSU, this reverse fan rotation will trigger a PSU Fan Fault (amber LED) condition.
