A green power supply (PS) LED is blinking on one of the two power supplies, but there are no amber LEDs (flashing or solid).
This is a normal, and is not an indication of a fault. The GEN4s power supply (PS or PSU) LED is bicolored, green, and amber. It has four possible states: Solid green: The power supply is active, and its status is normal. One power supply should always be in this state, and the other should be in the 'cold redundant' state - see below. Blinking green: The power supply is in the 'cold redundant' state. Unlike other node families, the GEN4s PS does not load-balance its input power over both power supplies during normal operation: One power supply is designated 'active' and used to power the node, while the other power supply goes into a cold standby mode. The node periodically alternates the active and cold redundant power supply automatically to ensure that wear is spread evenly across both power supplies over time. When this occurs, the solid green and blinking green LEDs trade places. If the active power supply fails, the standby power supply automatically takes over and continues to supply power to the node. Solid amber: The power supply has detected a critical abnormal condition that prevents it from operating correctly. Possible causes are an unplugged power cable, the input power frequency, the voltage outside the normal range (47-63 Hz, 100-240 V), or the power supply may have failed. Blinking amber: The power supply has detected a noncritical abnormal condition such as high temperature, abnormal internal voltage or current readings, or a PSU fan speed issue. The power supply continues to operate normally, but depending on the nature of the condition detected by the PSU, failure may be imminent if not addressed. Note: A power supply in the cold redundant state (blinking green LED) shows zero or very low values on Watts in the output. This is normal as the power supply is inactive. Not applicable - A power supply does not need replacing when the LED is blinking green.
