Saving the configuration with write mem or copy run start command fails with a error message: ASA# wr memory Building configuration... Cryptochecksum: 4f24c3ac 4e34d981 2a09f4ec ba07ea22 %Error reading system:/running-config (Configuration line too long)
Any model running ASA software Issue is a regression, and may only be seen after upgrade from another version to 9.18.4.24
Execute the command in exactly the same order as mentioned: Set "term pager 20" (or any value other than 0 just to limit having to wait for output to screen in case of a large config. enter "show run" Hit space until you reach network objects section of configuration, then the output can be quit out of with "q" Following that, either "write mem" or "copy run start", will now work without the "Configuration line too long" error. Note: This workaround needs to be applied per session, i.e., after login a session, apply the workaround once.
