ASA running 9.17.x releases on Firepower 3100 platforms may display the following error when trying to load ASDM 7.18.1.152 or later: (config)# asdm image disk0:/asdm-7181-152.bin lina_cs is not running on platform that supports image signing Open message queue fail: Resource temporarily unavailable/11 % ERROR: ASDM signature verification failed This is a related of the introduction of mutual ASDM and ASA signature verification performed as explained under the following Security Advisory, and caused by a software issue on 9.17.x releases specifically for FPR3100 platforms: https://tools.cisco.com/security/center/content/CiscoSecurityAdvisory/cisco-sa-asa-asdm-sig-NPKvwDjm
ASA running 9.17.x release on Firepower 3100 series platforms. The issue is not seen on any other platform.
Upgrade ASA release to 9.18.2 or later.
Steps followed: 1) Load build[9.18(1)126] into ASA on TPK platform 2) Copy the ASDM build to ASA using TFTP. 3) We can observe the error message like as "Signature not valid for file disk0:/test-asdm-79787719.bin.
