Description

Symptom

An device running Cisco IOS or IOS XE Software may show the following error during bootup: device password 6 MCIUQOJLWV_ePPGWFLAAB ^ % Invalid input detected at '^' marker. This password is part of the device's Network PnP configuration: ios-device#sh startup-config | section pnp pnp profile pnp_redirection_profile device password 6 MCIUQOJLWV_ePPGWFLAAB transport https ipv4 X.X.X.X port 443

Conditions

Device provisioned via Netconf, e.g. via Cisco DNA Center.
