In the current version Firepower Management Center(FMC) monitors all the enabled interfaces on Firepower Threat Defense(FTD) even though it doesn't have a name defined or if it is a port-channel interface - which doesn't need to have a name when it has sub-interfaces. FMC health alert for port-channel interface. "Interface '' is not receiving any packets". FMC health alert for physical interface. "Interface 'Ethernet1/5' is not receiving any packets"
FTD registered to FMC with parent interface (not directly used for traffic) with only subinterfaces used for data interfaces receiving traffic
Disable interface health alert module (not recommended) Add a "dummy" IP address to parent interface and send occasional traffic to it otherwise ignore "packets not received" alerts for parent interfaces
