Updating a record in the sn_vul_vulnerability table via Data Management Update Jobs(sys_dm_update) is throwing an error. The user can open a record in the sn_vul_vulnerability table and update it but when the same user tries to update it via the sys_dm_update job, it throws an error. Error: The user does not have the necessary permissions to update records in table sn_vul_vulnerability Steps to Reproduce 1. Install the sn_vul plugin with demo data 2. Open the 'Data Management Update Job' table (sys_dm_update) 3. Create a new record with the below details: a. Table: [sn_vul_vulnerability] b. Set a condition for the records you want to update [Ex. Number 'IS' VUL0000102] c. Set Fields & values that should be updated for the above sn_vul_vulnerability record [Ex. Field=work notes & Values= 'SNC testing'] d. Save the record. e. Click 'Execute Now' f. Observe the error 'The user does not have the necessary permissions to update records in table sn_vul_vulnerability' Expected Output: This job should update the sn_vul_vulnerability table record (VUL0000102) work notes with 'SNC testing,' but it is throwing the above error.
Please create a write ACL for the admin on the table that requires updates or deletions (see example screenshot below). Please keep in mind that implementing ACLs will grant write access to the admin persona for these tables, which may have business implications. Please test and validate in a subproduction instance before implementing in Production.
