What's happening is the query that displays the counts on the tab is executing "password AND reset", but once the user clicks on the Catalog Item tab, because there are only 4 results (less than a full page), it is resubmitting the query as "password OR reset" and therefore receives many more results. At this time, we do not have plans to provide a solution that would reflect the AND to OR fallback in the tab counts themselves as it would require running twice as many filter-based facets. Steps to Reproduce 1. Hop into the instance and impersonate as an admin 2. Log in and navigate to the standard service portal /sp 3. In the center search box, type "password reset" 4. In the AI search results that are displayed, note that the system provides the count of total results (in my case, it was 601) 5. Note also the total count of results for each subtab at the top (in my case, 0 Knowledge, 2 Catalog Item, 599 Incident) 6. Select the "Catalog Item" subtab 7. Note that the count of search result values has changed (in my case, 1000+ All, 6 Knowledge, 4 Catalog Item, 1000+ Incident)
Turn off tab counts by editing the appropriate record in the Search Application Configuration for the given application and ensure the "Show Search Results Count" checkbox is not selected.
