On HPE Gen12 servers, the HPE Integrated Lights-Out 7 (iLO 7) Overview page may intermittently display HPE Agentless Management Software (AMS) status as “Not Available” even when the AMS service remains operational on the host OS. The issue has been observed on ESXi, Linux (SLES/RHEL), and Windows Server 2025 systems with iLO 7 firmware v1.19 (or later) and AMS January release (or later). When this occurs, the following is observed:AMS status intermittently shows “Not Available” in iLO.AMS communication with iLO may temporarily disconnect and recover automatically.Firmware update workflows using OneView, COM, or related management tools may fail or require a retry if initiated during the disconnect period.HPE OneView may report a temporary port-map refresh event. This is an intermittent communication issue and does not indicate that AMS has stopped running. However, during the temporary disconnect:AMS-related host information may not be available in iLO.Management operations dependent on AMS may fail or require retry. This occurs due to delayed responses over the AMS–iLO communication path, causing AMS to temporarily lose connectivity with iLO and attempt reconnection. The delay originates from iLO response handling under specific conditions.Figure 1: Status Not availableFigure 2: Status OKAdditionally, a "Refresh port map" task will be displayed in the HPE OneView activity log when the AMS status changes.Figure 3: "Refresh port map" task
