HPE Storage MSL3040 and MSL6480 Tape Libraries with firmware versions 3370 and 6.70 (and later) disable unsecure Remote Management Interface (RMI) http:// connections. When downloads are started using an http:// connection for an upgrade to new (versions 3370 and 6.70 or later) firmware, the http:// connection is disabled after the reboot with the new firmware. This will result in a "connection timed out" response in the browser.NOTE: HPE Storage MSL3040 and MSL6480 Tape Libraries running firmware versions 3350 and 6.60 (or earlier) can use http:// connections to the RMI.For security reasons, the new library firmware has disabled http:// access. If the firmware update is started with an http:// connection, the update will complete but not reconnect automatically after the library restarts.Reference informationSee the following notices and corresponding release notes for this new requirement in HPE Storage MSL Tape Library firmware versions 3370 and 6.70 (and later):Notice: HPE Storage MSL3040 Tape Library - Firmware Version 3370 is AvailableNotice: HPE Storage MSL6480 Tape Library - Firmware Version 6.70 is Now Available
