On an HPE ProLiant DL345 Gen12 server, NVMe drives that are directly attached to UBM backplane Box‑ 3 are not detected through HPE Integrated Lights-Out 7 (iLO 7).This only occurs with Box 3 and does not occur with drives connected to Box 1 or Box 2. It is observed only on ProLiant DL345 Gen12 platforms with direct‑attached NVMe drives on the Box 3 UBM backplane.Due to this limitation, the following functionalities are affected for NVMe drives connected to the Box 3 UBM:Firmware update via iLO 7 is not available.Drive detection and monitoring through iLO 7 is unavailable.The drives do not display in the Storage tab of the iLO 7 web interface.Firmware version information for these drives is not available.
This issue is specific to ProLiant DL345 Gen12 Platforms and Direct-Attached NVMe drives connected to the Box 3 UBM backplane.
This is targeted to be resolved in a future release of the iLO 7 firmware.This advisory will be updated when additional information is available.
