Any Intel-based HPE Gen11 servers with the following Gen 5 (Emerald Rapids) LCC Die processor:- Bronze 3508U- Silver 4510- Silver 4509Y
This issue is still being investigated and will be fixed in a future release of the System ROM; however, disabling Core C6 and Package C6 can be used as a temporary workaround:1. Power on or reboot the server.2. During POST, press F9 to boot to System Utilities.3. At the System Utilities menu, navigate to "System Configuration > BIOS/Platform Configuration (RBSU) > Workload Profile". Select "Custom". This step is necessary to make sure C-states can be enabled/disabled since some workload profiles do not allow the user to modify these options.4. Navigate to "Power and Performance Options" menu.5. For "Minimum Processor Idle Power Core C-State", select "No C-State".6. For "Minimum Processor Idle Power Package C-State", select "No Package State".7. Press F10 to save the settings.8. Press "ESC" repeatedly to exit System Utilities.9. At the prompt asking for a server reboot, click "Yes."
