The HPE QLogic Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapter (HBA) firmware version 2025.05.01 encounters a dependency error during installation on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 10. This issue arises when using Smart Update Manager (SUM), Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP), OneView (OV), or Compute Ops Management (COM) on any HPE ProLiant servers and HPE Synergy compute modules equipped with the HBAs specified in the Scope section.Dependency error message:error: Failed dependencies:libcrypt.so.1()(64bit) is needed by firmware-fc-sy-qlogic-2025.05.01-1.1.x86_64libcrypt.so.1(GLIBC_2.2.5)(64bit) is needed by firmware-fc-sy-qlogic-2025.05.01-1.1.x86_64SPP Dependency error message Example:NOTE: The same error might be seen during installation of the QConvergeConsole Command Line Utility (QCC CLI) package.

Refer to the Workaround below as there are currently no plans to resolve this issue.AS a workaround, to address the dependency error encountered during the installation of the HPE Firmware Flash for QLogic Fibre Channel HBAs, as detailed in the Description section, install the libxcrypt-compat RPM package (libxcrypt-compat-4.4.36-10.el10.x86_64.rpm) before deployment.This workaround is necessary to ensure compatibility and successful installation on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 10.
