For any HPE Synergy 480 Gen12 compute modules, the automatic power-on may not properly function when OneView attempts to apply a Server Profile to a compute module that is inserted or added.This issue only occurs when the compute module is powered on, as part of applying the Server Profile.This issue may occur in any of the following scenarios:The compute module is inserted or added into the Synergy frame.When power is restored to the compute module after a power outage.After performing an e-fuse reset on the compute module.
In the scenario described above, any HPE Synergy 480 Gen12 compute modules running System ROM versions prior to 1.44.
To avoid this issue, update the System ROM to version1.44(or later). This version changes the default Power-On setting from "Restore Last Power State" to "Automatic Power-On".If this issue has already occurred, perform any of the following:Press the physical power button of the compute module.Use the iLO web user interface virtual power button, or the Integrated Remote Console to power on the compute module.Use OneView to power on the compute module.Revision HistoryDocument VersionRelease DateDetails2July 16, 2025The Resolution section has been updated with the System ROM version containing the solution.1May 08, 2025Original Document Release.
