HPE Integrated Lights-Out 7 (iLO 7) Remote Console GUI goes blank in Linux run level5 (graphical.target) with any out of box NVIDIA GPU driver installed on HPE ProLiant Compute Gen12 systems. This occurs because there is no in-distro vga support for the new Matrox vga chip (102b:053a) of the iLO 7 baseboard management controller (BMC).If a Matrox VGA GPU Driver is installed after NVIDIA GPU drivers, this issue should not occur.
Any HPE ProLiant Compute Gen12 system with GPU adapter and iLO 7 running any of the followingLinux Distribution:Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.4Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.5SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15 SP6This may also occur on other Linux distributions.
HPE is working with the above OS distribution owner to include an updated Matrox mgag200 driver that will be available in a future Red Hat Enterprise Linux release. This advisory will be updated with the supported Linux versions that have the updated driver. This only affects run level 5.
Operating Systems Affected:SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9
