When using SNMPv3 to monitor an HPE Integrated Lights-Out 5 (iLO 5) or HPE Integrated Lights-Out 6 (iLO 6), the monitoring software or tools that performs an SNMPwalk, after few hours the SNMPwalk may fail with an SNMP time out. The iLO is in a failing state that will prevent it from responding to any SNMPv3 queries, which means any tool using SNMPv3 to the iLO will result in a SNMP timeout.
Any HPE Integrated Lights-Out 5 (iLO 5) or HPE Integrated Lights-Out 6 (iLO 6) at or prior to iLO 5 firmware version 3.11 or iLO 6 firmware version 1.67.
As a workaround, perform "Reset iLO" from the HPE Integrated Lights-Out (iLO 5) or (iLO 6) Web UI – Information page – Diagnostics page.To download iLO 6 v1.68 (or later) or iLO 5 v3.13 (or later), perform the following steps:Click the following link:http://www.hpe.com/support/ilo6orhttp://www.hpe.com/support/ilo5The page should refresh to display the "DRIVERS AND SOFTWARE" tab and the components that support the selected product.
