On any of the ProLiant Gen11 servers mentioned in the Scope section below running System ROM version 2.20, PCIe devices may become disconnected when performing a Secondary Bus Reset (SBR). When this occurs, the operating system is not able to recognize the disconnected PCIe devices.This is a known issue related to the System ROM supporting PCIe hot-plug error control.
Any of the following servers running System ROM version 2.20:HPE ProLiant DL325 Gen11HPE ProLiant DL345 Gen11HPE ProLiant DL365 Gen11HPE ProLiant DL385 Gen11HPE ProLiant DX385 Gen11
This has been addressed with System ROM 2.30 (or later), upgrade to this version to avoid or correct the issue. As a workaround if the issue already occurred, reboot the system to recover the link with the PCIe devices.To download the latest System ROM, perform the following steps:1.Click the following link:Hewlett Packard Enterprise Support Center.2.Enter a product name (e.g., " DL385 Gen11") in the text search field and wait for a list of Suggested Products to display. From the Suggested Products list displayed, identify the desired product and select it.3.The page should refresh to display the "DRIVERS AND SOFTWARE" tab and the components that support the selected product. From the "DRIVERS AND SOFTWARE" expandable filter menus on the left side of the page:-Select the Software Type "BIOS"-Select the Subtype "System ROM"-For further filtering if needed select the specific Operating System from the Operating Environment Type.4.Locate and select the System ROM 2.30 (or later).Note: To ensure that you have selected the latest version of the firmware/driver, click the Revision History tab to check if a new version of the firmware/driver is available.
