When an NS204i boot device is running firmware version 1.2.14.1016 or 1.2.14.1017, the firmware version of the drives installed on the NS204i boot device is not visible on the “Firmware & OS Software” page of iLO.See the image below in iLO that shows the firmware version is not displayed.This issue also prevents HPE Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP) and Synergy Service Pack (SSP) from detecting whether the firmware of the drives installed to an NS204i boot device can be updated when the device is running firmware version 1.2.14.1016 or 1.2.14.1017. As a result, the drives are not listed.

This issue is resolvedHPE Gen11 and Gen10 Plus Boot Controller NS204i firmware version 1.2.14.1018(or later).As a workaround, complete the following steps:Perform the firmware update via the tab “Firmware” of page “Firmware & OS Software” in iLO.Update the drive firmware within the NS204i boot device in the iLO GUI.
