When updating the Universal Backplane Management (UBM) 10 firmware on the HPE MR Gen11 or Gen10 Plus controllers for the HPE ProLiant DL145 Gen11, the port downgrade fails, and a firmware update error or downgrade failed error is displayed in the IML log:Firmware flashed(Success : Device in slot 3 located at Slot=3:Port=1:Box=2 : active fw [0.xx]. pending fw [N/A]If the downgrade is successful, the following messages are displayed in the IML Log:Firmware flashed (Firmware Update Results: success(2) rejected(0) failed(0).)Firmware flashed (Success : Device in slot 3 located at Slot=3:Port=1:Box=2 : active fw [0.30], pending fw [N/A])Firmware flashed (Success : Device in slot 3 located at Slot=3:Port=1:Box=2 : active fw [0.30], pending fw [N/A])This issue occurs because the MR Controller firmware listed in the Scope section does not support the HPE UBM10 Backplane Peripheral Interface Controller (PIC) firmware.
