Description

Summary

When using 2-Factor Authentication to retrieve cross-domain authentication of a user's email address from Active Directory, there may be an error message similar to the following:Two Factor Authentication configuration is incomplete. Contact administrator if problem persists.The above error message may not fully describe the issue.When 2-Factor Authentication is enabled on HPE Integrated Lights-Out 5 (iLO 5) and iLO 6 it uses time-based One-Time-Password via SMTP Email for Active Directory users to log in. This requires iLO to query AD for the user's email address at login, but iLO is unable to retrieve cross-domain authentication of the user's email address.

Scope

Any HPE system with iLO 5 firmware prior to v3.07 or iLO 6 firmware prior to 1.62.

Resolution

This problem is addressed in iLO 5 v3.07 (or later) and iLO 6 firmware v1.62 (or later).If unable to update to either version immediately, as a workaround, use the root domain rather than the remote child domain to retrieve user's email address.To download iLO 5 firmware v3.07 or iLO 6 firmware v1.62, perform the following steps:Click the following link:http://www.hpe.com/support/ilo5orhttp://www.hpe.com/support/ilo6The page should refresh to display the "DRIVERS AND SOFTWARE" tab and the components that support the selected product.
