Description

Summary

Approximately one minute after hot-adding an NVMe P5520/5620 Drive Model to the system, HPE Integrated Lights-Out (iLO) will report the status asFailedwithin the iLO message:"NVMe Storage - Drive at NVMe Drive Port 1A Box X Bay Y status changed to Failed."However, after the drive is readied, approximately one minute later during the next polling, iLO will update the status back toOK, for example:"NVMe Storage - Drive at NVMe Drive Port 1A Box 2 Bay 2 status changed to Ok."

Resolution

This reporting issue can be resolved by updating to the appropriate drive model by using the latest version:Universal Firmware Package for Drives - MO001600KZYWU, MO003200KZYXB, MO006400KZYXC, VO001920KZYWT, VO003840KZYWV and VO007680KZYXAORUniversal Firmware Package for Drives - EO000400KYDKV and EO000800KYDLAAs a workaround, ignore the warning message since the drive status will resolve itself and function correctly.Document VersionRelease DateDetails2November 04, 2024Updated the Resolution with the permanent component fixes.1June 22, 2023Original Document Release.
