On any HPE systems with iLO 6, a higher than normal fan speed, a higher fan speed than normal operation while using Pass Through Board (PTB), on-board M.2 with Micron M.2 drive, or SK hynix drive may occur. The M.2 sensor will not display on Integrated Lights-Out 6 (iLO 6) web interface when this occurs.The functionality of the server is not affected.Samsung drive - M.2 sensor displayed:Micron drive - M.2 sensor not displayed:iLO 6 accesses the M.2 temperature through i2c which is not support for the Micron drive. Therefore, no temperature reading on the Micron drive causes the system to call a backup sensor to maintain sufficient cooling capability.
Any HPE systems with iLO 6 configured with specific NVMe M.2 drive or SK Hynix drive.
