Perform either of the following procedures (Online Mode or Offline Mode) by using the "Custom Pack for Gen10 Plus/Gen11/Gen12 ProLiant for Intel VROC Platforms" to update the firmware for the drives attached to the Intel VROC: Online Mode : It can be performed via " local host update " or " remote update ": Local host update : It can be run directly from a server running a Linux operation system with an interactive mode following the onscreen steps to update the firmware components. To initiate deployment in the interactive mode, execute the launch_sum.sh (Linux) script which is found in the root of the .iso image. OR Remote Update: It can be performed by running a Microsoft Windows Server or Linux operating system remotely with an interactive mode following the onscreen steps to update the firmware components; but the updates to the target server must be run with a Linux operation system. To initiate deployment in the interactive mode, execute the launch_sum.bat (Windows) or launch_sum.sh (Linux) script which is found in the root of the .iso image through client. Offline Mode: Boot .iso image and perform either of the following modes: Note: The offline mode is not current supported on HPE Gen12 servers with HPE Integrated Lights-Out 7 (iLO 7). Interactive mode: Follow the onscreen steps to update the firmware components. OR Automatic mode: The firmware update will be run by default without any user interaction after sitting for 10 seconds at the menu screen, when the .iso image is used to boot the server.
