Document VersionRelease DateDetails2April 3, 2024The Resolution was updated with the firmware that resolves this issue.1October 7, 2020Original Document Release.When performing a network setup for an HPE Uninterruptible Power System (UPS) module under Settings->Network->Domain->More->Hostname, an issue can be experienced when a digit (number) is used in the first position. For example, the combination UPS+MAC works correctly, but the combination 1ups+MAC cannot be saved because the button is grayed out.The official documentation indicates that for the hostname, the maximum possible parameters are 128, but does not indicate what the standard hostname naming convention should be. This condition has been observed with Internet Explorer (IE), Firefox, and Google Chrome.

This issue is resolved inHPE Single Phase 1Gb UPS with Network Management Module (Q1C17A) Firmware Version 2.2.11 (or later).WorkaroundDo not use a digit in the first position of the hostname.
