Some of the following HPE Mellanox InfiniBand Switches:Mellanox InfiniBand EDR 100 Gb/sec v2 36-port Connector-side-inlet Airflow (RAF) Managed Switch (834979-B22).Mellanox InfiniBand EDR 100 Gb/sec v2 36-port Power-side-inlet Airflow Managed Switch (834978-B22).May not have a factory installed Fabric Inspector (FI) license. When looking at the licenses on these switches via the "show licenses" command, the switch may return "No licenses have been configured" as a response.If this occurs, the switch does not have a Fabric Inspector license installed. For the vast majority of customers, this is not an issue because the FI license is only necessary for systems running Windows clusters and when there is no other way of managing the fabric.Most customers using these switches are running Linux environments and not Windows. For those customers running Linux, the FI licenses are not applicable.All fabric related management can and should be done via the Linux tools provided for fabric management. Switches without the FI licenses installed will operate correctly.
