Data Protection Advisor (DPA) does not collect Avamar validate jobs. A specific Avamar grid is used for validation of backups only. There are no actual backups or restores on this grid. The grid runs mostly jobs of the type "validate." The normal Avamar job monitor request excludes validate jobs. These jobs are not sent to the Application server. Validate jobs are not backups or restores. Including validate jobs in the collection would affect the normal report values.
There is no known cause.
DPA is working as designed. DPA only supports the following five types for Avamar: On-Demand Snapup Scheduled Snapup On-Demand Backup Scheduled Backup Restore
